Vellore FortThis is a 16th century fort built by Vijayanagara Kings. There is a Mosque, a temple and a Church inside the fort premises. The Jalagandeeswarar Temple is famous for sculptures and skilled craftsmanship. Although it was an arsenal, about seven years ago, an idol of Lord Shiva has been placed here. The temple is an example of the Vijayanagar architecture, with intricate designs and carvings.
Archaeological Museum of India is located inside Vellore fort premises. Here, there is no entry fees and cameras are allowed. Artefacts, masks, wooden carvings, fabrics etc. adorn this museum.

Muthu MandapamThe mandapam is built around tombstone of Vikramraja Singh who was the last Tamil ruler of Kandy. It is also known as 'Pearl Palace'. Soon, there will be a park for children, an aquarium etc. here.

Clock TowerThis tower was constructed in the memory of the coronation of King George V. Clock Tower also commemorates the bravery of 22 soldiers from Vellore who fought in 1st World War (1914-1919).

Amirthi Zoological Park
This is a zoological park which is home to mongoose, wild cats, pigeons, eagles, rabbits, spotted deer, wild parrots and even pythons! It was opened for public in the year 1967 and is situated 25 kms. from Vellore.
